I wrote recently about my love of good LEGO photography. A lot of what makes LEGO photography great, is great lighting. Nothing paints the picture or sets the mood like good lighting. Check out this amazing collection of LEGO photography, and notice the use of light.
Two similar scenes, two different approaches to lighting, and two totally different moods. You can really feel the emotions the builder is trying to convey.
I love the simple use of light in these images. They soldiers moving from the safety of the darker spaces and into the light. Very powerful.
Love the blurred lighting as well.
Light in the background, dark in the foreground? Beautiful.
I really like this subtle lighting in this LEGO photography.

I am an Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL) and an active member of the Michigan LEGO User Group (MichLUG). I have loved LEGO for as long as I can remember. I am currently working on the following models:
– UCS Millenium Falcon
– Emmett’s Apartment Building
– Gringott’s Bank
Hey… my comment has been lost in cyberspace again…
I really like the lighting part of these photo’s, especially photo 5, so many nuances, so lifelike. Very nicely done. I like most of the MOC’s too (I just wish I had the time to do these sorts of MOC’s).
The only thing I’m not a fan of is modern day warfare and Lego… But still, a job well done!
So strange. Glad this one made it!
Yes, it’s the little nuances captured in these images that I love.
I’m not sure how I feel about modern military MOCs. I think these are slightly futuristic models though. Set in some near future part of a Flickr Story called The Purge. Post Apocalyptic stuff I think.
