I am an Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL) and an active member of the Michigan LEGO User Group (MichLUG). I have loved LEGO for as long as I can remember. I am currently working on the following models:
– UCS Millenium Falcon
– Emmett’s Apartment Building
– Gringott’s Bank
Me too! And you are right. I always look at every minifig series and see how many female figures there are…
I actually like the friends tree house. So that’s a set I got. But there’s no friends minifig living in there. Fortunately I have enough regular minifigs 😉
I wish they’d recognize, that girls can play with regular minifigs, too 😉
I think they do. You see more and more female minifigures in sets every year. I think it is easier for boys to identify with male characters, and girls to identify with female characters. I think the Lego Friends line is just another choice kids have. My daughter LOVES them. She likes the colors, and she likes the set themes. And I know a lot of AFOLs that snatch them up for the rare parts/colors. Myself included.
