I think taking two whole months off from posting is plenty! 🙂 I hope I didn’t lose any of my loyal readers during my hiatus… 🙁
So, where was I you ask?
Well, I had the perfect storm of personal things happen. First, football season started, and for my family that means two and a half hours of practice five days a week after work. Also, we did a good bit of camping on the weekends in August. Once September hit, the kids started having Saturday practice, too, and Sunday was game day; 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM at the football field. All this combined to leave me little free time.
Also, I started a new job, and just recently finished up almost a month of training. I have left IT work behind for the most part, and have moved into project management. So far, I’m loving it, and my new company, but it’s taken a while to gt my legs back under me.
Anyway, long story short, I just wasn’t finding the time. I home to change that starting today, and hope to re-dedicate this blog. I have some things I want to try over the coming months, and I hope you like the changes I have in store.
So, how have you all been while I was one? Did you ave good summers?
I am an Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL) and an active member of the Michigan LEGO User Group (MichLUG). I have loved LEGO for as long as I can remember. I am currently working on the following models:
– UCS Millenium Falcon
– Emmett’s Apartment Building
– Gringott’s Bank
Welcome back 🙂
I spent the little free time (a 3 year old son and a 3 month old daughter) I had sorting lego and stocking up on polybags to keep me going but no serious building…
The summer here in the UK was far too nice to be indoors
I have a boy(11) and girl(7), too. We built some sets this summer, but no serious building either. It was way too nice of a summer in the US as well to be inside!
Welcome back. I was wondering where you had gone. Congratulations on the new job.
Thanks!
I am happy to read from this blog again!
A lot of time has passed, but you have good reasons. Real life is important, and even more your son. I have curiosity: what you call footbal is what British people call soccer right? :). I hope your team wins everythinh :).
Things are going well here. We have a new contributor to YiharuaBLOG and we are moving to our new domain (Yiharuablog.com without the wordpress in the middle) in few days. Some GBCs have been built in our “factories” these months :).
I wish the best for you and your blog!
My son plays American Football; pads and tackling and all. I absolutely love watching him play. His sister is a cheerleader for his team. So far so good, we’ve won 4 games, and lost one close one.
Who’s your new contributor? How’s that working out? I’d love to hear more about it.
Understood!
An Spanish AFOL, an old friend too. 😉
You will see more from him after the changes in my blog :).
