It’s been a while since I featured a castle MOC, so today, I fix that. Check out this beautiful LEGO castle keep by Gilbert_Keith.
LEGO castle keep creation
This is an awesome LEGO castle creation as far as I’m concerned. I love that rock outcropping it’s built upon. The water flowing around it. The tall, wooden lookout towers, though I think they’d make excellent targets for flaming arrows and other incendiary devices. o.0 And I love how the LEGO castle keep is built on a diagonal.
The discolored wooden planks. The perfect amount of vegetation. The rooftops. All so very well done. I am very happy to say I was able to score a large cup of the trans blue 1×1 round plates from my local pick-a-brick wall today. Now I can make water, too!
Look at that variety of color and bricks used to make the walls! I see old and new gray, both light and dark. I see tan. I see brick-bricks. I see SNOT tiles, 1×1 round plates, etc. All of these bricks and colors really make the brown “wood” tiles pop for me. Just love the way it all comes together.
I think the walls are the perfect size for a LEGO castle keep of this size. Not too big, and not too small. I also like the crenallations atop the wall, and like how the SNOT tiles are never perfectly horizontal. They look more natural.
I also really appreciate the photography here, too. Love the depth of field in the picture above, but especially in the one below. Great stuff!

What’s the coolest LEGO castle creation you’ve seen lately?
I am an Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL) and an active member of the Michigan LEGO User Group (MichLUG). I have loved LEGO for as long as I can remember. I am currently working on the following models:
– UCS Millenium Falcon
– Emmett’s Apartment Building
– Gringott’s Bank
Thanks for the blog post and very kind words! I had loads of fun building this, even though it took quite a while. Hopefully I will start another large castle project soon!
My pleasure! You do great work. Can’t wait to see your next project!
Nice creation!
