I think I found a new LEGO builder to obsess over… BKNY Bricks is doing some AMAZING LEGO city work at midi-scale. At least I consider it midi-scale. It’s smaller than minifigure-scale, and larger than what I consider micro-scale, so yeah. Anyway, see for yourself the LEGO city awesomeness…
LEGO City in midi-scale
I am blown away by the amount of detail packed into these little models. While the footprint of each building seems to be half that the standard modular LEGO buildings, these midi-scale models fell bigger. If you scaled the doors and windows up to the modular standards, these would be massive models. Yet even at the smaller scale, they lose almost no detail.
Check them out. The doors have handles. The windows have air conditioning units. The windows have panes. There are wall sconces, and street lights, and tress, and.. and… everything else you would expect to find in a larger layout!
And they don’t stop at the buildings. Oh, no. They have a full line of midi-scale LEGO city vehicles as well. Fire trucks, dump trucks, garbage trucks, snow plows. It’s all there…
You really do need to check out BKNY Bricks on Flickr to see more of their LEGO city creations. Truly inspiring.
Have you seen others built LEGO city models at this scale?
I am an Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL) and an active member of the Michigan LEGO User Group (MichLUG). I have loved LEGO for as long as I can remember. I am currently working on the following models:
– UCS Millenium Falcon
– Emmett’s Apartment Building
– Gringott’s Bank
