So last week, a tweet popped up in my Twitter timeline about a LEGO deal on Friends sets at Walmart. It was a bundle of two sets for $29. I could tell from the picture, that some of these sets were close to that alone.
I immediately checked it out, thinking I’d get some sets for my daughter. What a joke. If I wanted to add the bigger set, Walmart would add $20+ to the price of the bundle. So there goes the “deal”. Not wanting a unknowledgeable blogger to unintentionally mislead their reads, I made a comment about my findings. She replied with inaccurate information, and stood by the great deal she posted.
Then another reader breaks down what I said, and provides precise prices and examples about how this is not a deal at all. The blogger’s reply? agreed
Why didn’t she agree with me? I just don’t get some people. Read all four comments in their entirety here.
I am an Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL) and an active member of the Michigan LEGO User Group (MichLUG). I have loved LEGO for as long as I can remember. I am currently working on the following models:
– UCS Millenium Falcon
– Emmett’s Apartment Building
– Gringott’s Bank
Did you already check out the new friends sets for next year?
(yeah… I have to admit…. I try to integrate some friends stuff to my “regular” Lego city =D )
I like the pool set…
I did. I think they look great. My daughter will be getting some for sure. I have a hard time mixing the actual figures into my LEGO creations, but LOVE the Friends parts assortments and colors.
