This LEGO Dungeons Dragons model is pure nostalgia for me. I was a big fan of Dungeons & Dragons when I was in school. I played it as often as I could, and had several campaigns going with different groups of kids all the time.
LEGO Dungeons Dragons for the win!
This LEGO Dungeons Dragons model is huge. And awesome. And ridiculously detailed. And I love how it tells the story. It’s laid out like an entire AD&D module, showing a band of characters discovering the Mystery Manor, and then their progress as they explore its depths.
I love the character creations as well. Each minifigure representing a different character class. It’s been a LONG time since I played D&D, so I’d have to break out my Players Handbook to name them all.
It took me a while to realize this model is two-sided. I really like the behind the scenes views. The kids playing Dungeons & Dragons with their lead figures. The stage hands putting the finishing touches on the scenes. It adds a whimsy to an already amazing creation.
Were you a Dungeons & Dragons player back in the day?
