One of the new features I am adding to All About The Bricks is MOC Monday. I will highlight MOCs I have seen, and really enjoy. I hope you’ll enjoy them, too! This week’s MOC is a LEGO footbal, and it’s not just any LEGO football. It’s a University of Michigan LEGO football!
Everyone needs a LEGO football!
I watched the AFC and NFC championship games yesterday, and got to thinking about making a LEGO football. I of course jumped on my computer, and searched for them, finding this gem on Flickr by Ryan Ziegelbauer. I’ll need to build one for myself and check it against a real football to make sure it’s accurate, but I want this sitting on my desk soon. I am a Michigan grad, so the fact this is a U of M ball just makes it even better.
I wonder if it could be built like a modified Lowell Sphere? It would certainly help smooth out the sides.
What do you think? Have you seen any other LEGO footballs out there?
I am an Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL) and an active member of the Michigan LEGO User Group (MichLUG). I have loved LEGO for as long as I can remember. I am currently working on the following models:
– UCS Millenium Falcon
– Emmett’s Apartment Building
– Gringott’s Bank
