I’ve seen a lot of really cool LEGO creations, both great and small. Still, now and then a creation comes along that just stops me dead in my tracks. This is one of them.
400,000 piece LEGO Hogwarts from Harry Potter
Don’t let that picture fool you. let me show you another one that shows you the true scale of this beautiful model.
Yes, that’s the builder shown just behind her creation. I can hardly wrap my head around the size of this thing. And even more impressive than its sheer size is the ridiculous levels of detail and accuracy. Just about any scene you can think of from the Harry Potter books that took place at Hogwarts is re-created at LEGO Hogwarts.
Just mind-blowing…
I can even conceive how Alice Finch came up with the shape of that conical roof. And I love the dragon circling it.
The shapes, the colors, the layout… all perfect. Just as I imagined them in the books, and as I remember them from the movies.
There is soooooo much more to see. So much so that I will feature this creation at least two more times.
But if you can’t wait, and you’d like to see more of this amazing LEGO Hogwarts castle by Alice Finch, head over to Flickr and check our Bippity Bricks.
