I’ve been fascinated by LEGO micro scale building for some time, so I was very happy to stumble across this YouTube series on LEGO micro scale building by LEGO Master Builders.
If you are like me, and can appreciate the difficulty and creativity required for LEGO micro building, I urge you to check out these videos. You can really learn a lot from the LEGO YouTube channel!
Because it’s hard to find the Micro Square videos in the LEGO channel, I’ll link them all here for your convenience.
Episode 2 – Setting your scale
Episode 3 – Seed Elements
Episode 4 – Landscaping
Episode 5 – Color
Episode 6 – Vehicles
Episode 7 – Trees
Episode 9 – Texture
Episode 9 – SNOT Building*
Episode 10 – Cheese Wedges
Episode 11 – Easter Eggs
*no, not THAT kind of snot. To LEGO fans, SNOT refers to Studs Not On Top. Also known as sideways building.
I am an Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL) and an active member of the Michigan LEGO User Group (MichLUG). I have loved LEGO for as long as I can remember. I am currently working on the following models:
– UCS Millenium Falcon
– Emmett’s Apartment Building
– Gringott’s Bank
Where does one find the lego pieces used in this video? We went to the lego store and they didn’t carry them…?
Thank you!
I’m sorry. Which video are you referring to?
Thank you for sharing the links for those videos. I’m so fascinated with micro scale building. Some things I’ve seen look so simply made but I never would have thought to use those pieces.
I totally agree. I have a lot of respect for people who can build at that scale. Makes me want to do an entire fleet of spaceships!
