I’m still not quite ready to believe the LEGO Simpsons rumors, but these images of a LEGO Simpsons House surfaced recently.
LEGO Simpsons House for $250+
I have to say, I love the looks of this house. Great design, and a TON of tan bricks. I also love that this LEGO Simpsons House has a full back. But at 2500+ pieces, this set will cost $250 easy. I just don’t see Lego Simpsons having that broad of an appeal. I almost guarantee I’ll be able to pick one of these up on clearance even though it’s supposedly a LEGO Store exclusive.
Again, GREAT design, and GREAT pieces, but I just can’t get excited about this. Maybe because a Simpsons license is a decade too late. Maybe because the minifigs just don’t look like LEGO.
This AFOL will not be surprised when this turns out to be a joke. Because I’m hoping it is one of the best LEGO hoaxes yet!
I am an Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL) and an active member of the Michigan LEGO User Group (MichLUG). I have loved LEGO for as long as I can remember. I am currently working on the following models:
– UCS Millenium Falcon
– Emmett’s Apartment Building
– Gringott’s Bank
Homer and flanders on at $34 on ebay and selling. House is at £230 so $320 or so at a guess…
Hmmmmmmm. I did see it in the store Friday, and it looks awesome. May need to pick it up tomorrow, and start selling off the minifigs….
Its always pot luck but I see the bricks themselves as very useful for so many other things! May take a look in a week or so to see what they are going for before buying.
$199 is the us price. Which is steep on a price per piece side but not as bad as I was expecting. Shame about the cinema going 🙁
I’m shocked it’s well under the $.10/piece ratio. Now I will have to seriously consider getting one, especially if I can sell the minifigures off for half the price.
Ill get it only if on sale and only for parts. Whilst I quite like the Simpsons I see the minifig sale potential as almost the only reason for getting this (I have the same view of the new huge ewok village set as well).
However I know a lot of non lego simpson fans who can’t wait for this….
Really? Even with the huge price that will surely accompany this set? There are sooooo many sets I haven’t bought because of price that I would buy before this. Mindstorms and the RC Technic sets come to mind, and Orthanc. And the Haunted House.
My local lego store do flash sales so I can usually get stuff at least 30-40% off.
getting the haunted house next month though as it looks awesome 🙂
I am led to believe the simpsons figs will go for 20-30 Stirling each so 30-40$ a pop…
If I can sell the minifigs for even $20 each, I’ll get this and sell them off immediately.
I think I just sold a LEGO set on Bricklink, and was going to get the Haunted House, but stumbled across a used Cinema Palace for 33% off. May have to jump on that…
Hard call. Both awesome. I dont really do the modulars as I dont have the space but the cinema and haunted house look too good not to 🙂
