I think the modular LEGO sets are one of the best things to happen to LEGO the past few years. Love the designs, love the pieces, love the idea. It’s no surprise that many builders emulate this style, and create their own modular LEGO buildings. Like this LEGO townhouse for example by kjw010.
Modular LEGO Townhouse
This thing is incredible; front, side, and back.
I’m not even sure where to start on this one. It is absolutely stunning. The colors work amazingly well together. The massive feeling of this LEGO townhouse is very appealing as well. It just looks…. substantial. That wooden fence out back is just beautiful.
kjw010 is a seriously talented builder. Check out the parts usage. I LOVE the railings by the stairs to the door. I LOVE the little arches over the window. I LOVE the little splashes of dark orange that really make this LEGO townhouse part. This model just shows you how a little color can go a long way.
And just when you thought you’d seen it all, we move inside. The interior of this LEGO townhouse is equally impressive as the exterior. It has multiple bedrooms, a kitchen, den, living room, and even a full bathroom.
I urge you to check out more pictures of this stunning LEGO townhouse creation on Flickr.
What are some of your favorite modular LEGO models?
I am an Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL) and an active member of the Michigan LEGO User Group (MichLUG). I have loved LEGO for as long as I can remember. I am currently working on the following models:
– UCS Millenium Falcon
– Emmett’s Apartment Building
– Gringott’s Bank
Agreed, but I think they are getting better at adding detailed interiors to the Creator sets, and the modular line. I’d still love to see some additional furniture sets though!
Beautiful design. I especially like the indoor detail (Lego needs to do more of that!)
