I just stumbled upon the Flickr feed of valgarise, and I have to say, I am very impressed. He does great modular LEGO work. I think this is the first modular LEGO barber shop I have ever seen.
Modular LEGO barber shop and private detective
First off, I love the combination of dark green, tan, and brown. Second, I think the facade has just enough detail, but not too much as to be distracting.
Now that I think about it though, this creation isn’t truly a modular building at all. While it has a wonderfully fleshed out interior, it lacks a rear wall, and any means of accessing the upper floors.
I do love the private detective working on the second floor, and his desk lamp is just genius. I’m not sure what the story is behind the man in the attic. Crazed artifact hunter, or just introverted trophy collector. What do you think?
Love the private detective’s hide-a-way bed. The name for them escapes me at the moment…While not a true modular LEGO barber shop, I really like this MOC. Many great ideas here!
I am an Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL) and an active member of the Michigan LEGO User Group (MichLUG). I have loved LEGO for as long as I can remember. I am currently working on the following models:
– UCS Millenium Falcon
– Emmett’s Apartment Building
– Gringott’s Bank
The phrase you were seeking is “Murphy Bed”.
Yes! That’s it. Thank you!
that’s a nice one! I really like the detective’s room, that really makes it special…
