I was fortunate enough recently to pick up The Bat vs. Bane: Tumbler Chase 76001 on clearance at Target and was inspired to make a modular LEGO police station. The Commissioner Gordan figure is just that good, and I want to put a bat-signal on the roof. Anyway… Now that I have an inspiring idea, I started looking around for other modular LEGO police station MOCs for more ideas. I’m glad I did, because I stumbled upon jskaare on Flickr, and his modular work is awesome!
Modular LEGO police station
I really like how big jskaare was able to make his precinct by building on 32×32 and 16×32 baseplates. I think I’ll keep mine to a standard 32×32 footprint, but because of the way we layout rounds in my LUG, my buildings can go all the way yo the front edge. Our sidewalks are actually built on the road plates.
This modular LEGO police station is packed with awesome details. I love this shot showing a police officer manning the front desk with wanted posters at the ready, and you can see someone waiting to be seen in the lobby.
I love the idea of including the armory, but it seems a little dangerous having it right there on the first floor. 0.o Looks like I need to start stocking up on a bunch of the Series 9 CMF Police Officers.
I really like the addition of the dog house behind the modular LEGO police station. They’re officers too! And I like thee surveillance camera covering the rear door.
This is one of my favorite details. The one-way mirror in the interrogation room. You can see the detective and a witness watching the proceedings. Hopefully the perpetrator doesn’t seem them, too!
So what has inspired you recently? What are you working on? Does your city have a modular LEGO police station?
I am an Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL) and an active member of the Michigan LEGO User Group (MichLUG). I have loved LEGO for as long as I can remember. I am currently working on the following models:
