This year’s Lego Winter Village addition is a cottage. And it. is. awesome!
This looks to be a seriously well fleshed out set. There are lots of minifigs. There is cottage. There is an igloo. There is a woodshed. And just look at that truck! It’s beautiful.
Looks like we’re going to start getting more and more of the “brick” bricks. Check out all the dark tan at the foundation of the cottage, and in the chimney. Lovin’ the light blue, too!
The interior has three rooms; kitchen, living room, and loft bedroom.
I am loving that tile floor! Looks to be dark blue. These highly detailed interiors really impress me. Cabinets, counters, appliances, oh my!
Looks like another tile floor in the living room. The fire is just gorgeous. How does Lego do it? The red ball is a nice touch, too.
I really appreciate the inclusion of all the Lego toys in the Winter Village line. After all, that’s what Christmas is all about! Isn’t it? Not sure what that is against the roof behind mom though…
Rumor has it, 1420 pieces of Lego goodness, and $99 in the US. This will be added to my Lego Winter Village the day it becomes available!
Head over to Eurobricks to read more.
I am an Adult Fan of LEGO (AFOL) and an active member of the Michigan LEGO User Group (MichLUG). I have loved LEGO for as long as I can remember. I am currently working on the following models:
– UCS Millenium Falcon
– Emmett’s Apartment Building
– Gringott’s Bank
Oh my, this is so pretty! I wanted to get the post office this year (I got the bakery and the toy store last year…).
Maybe I should get the new set instead? Decision… But it’s august, so we’ll see…
I love all the furniture and accessories and details this has.
Yeah, this set is wonderful. I love the Winter Village theme. My kids love it, too. This Christmas, I hope to have a nice winterscape built, and all the sets displayed. Including this one. I do recommend the post office if you can still find it. The truck is great.
Wow… I just saw that this set is 100 Euro! =/
Last years sets were always 60 Euro recommended retail price. And this set does not seem to be any bigger…
Yeah, at $99 I’m going to have a much harder time convincing my wife that we “need” this set for our Christmas display. I’ve been able to pick up second copies of most of the earlier sets at deep clearance prices. Hopefully that trend continues. 🙂
Last time I checked, the post office was 50 Euro so that’s okay…
And keep in mind that 99 Euro is even more than $99. But that’s the way they always do it: Just take the dollar price and put a euro sign behind it. Kind of mean…
Yeah, we are lucky price wise in the US. If Lego adjusted their pricing though, I would not be able to afford this hobby any more. 🙁
